New to our Shelves!
We are NOT taking book donations at this time. We will START taking books Monday May 15th.
We are happy to accept donations of gently used books and DVD’s (we DO NOT ACCEPT magazines, textbooks, encyclopedias or visibly worn or damaged items). If the items donated do not fit our collections needs, we will pass them along to the Friends of the Library for their annual summer book sale in July.
New Members Always Welcome.
The Four Seasons Photo Club meets on the first Thursday of the month September through May. Come learn about photography techniques, and discuss with other photographers on ways to improve your photography. Watch for our guest speakers who have great insight into photography.
The Friends of the Polk City Community Library have four scheduled meetings per year. All meetings are open to members and the public. Anyone interested in supporting the Library is welcome and encouraged to attend!
4/13 Author Visit: We’re Not Sixteen Anymore: A Baby Boomer’s Adventures With Online Dating 7:00 p.m.
Come meet Iowa author Becky Andersen. You’ll laugh at Becky’s tongue-in-cheek writing style as she gently pokes fun at aging, dating, and life as a Boomer. Becky will gladly answer questions after the program, and her book will be available for purchase.
